Agape
Love in Action
Agape is the expression of Christ-centered love through encouragement, prayer, and simple acts of kindness during the Emmaus Weekend. Notes, messages, and quiet acts of support remind each pilgrim that they are surrounded by faith and community.
Emmaus thrives because of a community committed to serving one another in love.
Volunteers prepare meals, support weekends behind the scenes, pray throughout the experience, write letters of encouragement, and serve on teams. These acts of Agape — Christ-centered love in action — are woven throughout the Emmaus experience.
Whether serving on a team, sponsoring a pilgrim, or offering prayer support, members of the Emmaus community grow as servant leaders by giving of themselves for others.
